As part of the DBS process, applications will go through up to five stages of vetting. The number of stages an application will go through will depend on the disclosure type which has been requested.
For an applicant to be able to track their application, they will need their unique DBS reference number and their date of birth and to follow this link.
If you’re an employer, you can obtain the unique reference number by selecting the 'Track' button either on your main dashboard or by going into the specific application and selecting the 'Track Progress' button in the top right of the screen.
Either way will allow you to see the 'DBS E-Code' which you can pass on to the applicant so that they may track the application themselves.
This page will also allow you to track the application yourself by further selecting the blue 'Track DBS' button at the bottom of the page.
Please note that we at uCheck are unable to obtain any more information than what is visible on this tracking screen.
The tracking process will show which stage the application is in, and the date that it entered that stage.
