What is happening to the original Identity Verification process?

The Digital Identity Check process is an alternative to the original method of verifying applicants’ identity, by checking documents manually during a face-to-face meeting. For those who would prefer to continue using a manual checking approach, this service will still be provided. 

The applicant can opt out of the Digital Identity Check if it is not possible or preferred not to be used.
